First Night In A LONG Time.......

This mommy and daddy have had dinner without have to mess with a little one. Generally I am feeding her while we eat, so this was a SUPER nice treat!!

My Little Helper

Well the other night I was cooking supper and girl decided she wanted to be held, well this momma wasn't going to have that so we tried something else and it worked wonders. She sat on the island behind me while I was at the stove and she LOVED it. She sat in her bumbo for a good 15+ minutes. Now I am sure Greg could have used this for SEVERAL IIF safety moments (which are things people should NOT do)at work but hey a moms got to do what a moms to got do!

2 Month Check Up

Well Mackenzie had her two month check up yesterday. Her stats are as follows

Weight 11.0 pounds (50%)
Head Circumference 15 inches (50%)
Height 23 7/8 inches (75%)

Yes that is right, my little darling has grown over 4 inches in 8 weeks so hard to believe! Everything else is looking good, I asked the doctor about supplementing with formula (since sometimes she eats for an hour) he said he see no reason to he is very happy with her growth. I also asked about allergies since when we go back to visit our parents she has trouble breathing (she snorts and we definitely don't want her to end up like Whitney, haha) and her eyes are beat red, he said it is really too early for allergies as they normally don't develop until around 4 to 6 months but just to give her visine drops and suction out her nose that was really all I could do (I didn't like this answer too much!)

She received three shots and oral vaccine and she took them like a champ by the time we got to the check out line to set up our next appointment she was already done crying. On a side note she has been sleeping from 10:30 PM to about 6 AM (or around there), last night she went to bed at 9:30 PM and woke up at 7:20 this morning, I guess those shots must have really taken a toll on my sweet baby. She did however wake up in one GOOD mood as well, no crying this morning just talking up a storm.

Her is a picture of the darling....

Mackenzie Baptism

This weekend Mackenzie was baptized in the church, by none other then Father Clem. When I was pregnant he told me I better call him when I was ready for the little bundle to become part of the church. Greg and I wanted to baptise her before he left for his vacation to Africa which he takes every year and since Greg had to go offshore, this was the only weekend left! Mackenzie Godparents are Lauren and Chris, and we could not ask for better ones. They worried and prayed for this little girl since they found out I was pregnant and would always ask how my appointments went. They have truly been a part of her life since before she was born. A special "Thank You" to our photographer Matt for the pictures and Lauren for the use of her camera since this momma forgot hers along with mom for the memory card!...
