Monkeys....

Monkey see, Monkey do....It started with two.....

And two soon became three.....

Little Helpers....

As Greg and I (mainly Greg) worked outside, these two had a blast playing and shareing secrets, just look at them and the love that they have for one another. Paisley is trying her best to take care of Mackenzie and tell her what it is all about....

WATER!!

I think I know where we will be spending much of our time this summer! Thank you Aunt Kim, Uncle David, Kayden and Madi, as you can tell Mackenzie LOVES her water table!!

Can you get any cutier.....

They almost look like sisters in these pictures....Thank you Paisley for gracing us with your presence yesterday you always make the day a bit brighter...We enjoyed our walk and discovered that if we ever have another (at least any time soon) we will definitely need another jogging stroller because pushing the the regular one was not much fun, but the walk was!!

One would think.....

She has been doing this for months....

Maybe she has, who knows as she won't do it when we are in the room I saw her take off for the first time, straight for a vase on the side of the fireplace and yesterday she would take off for the remotes every time we (Greg) moved them she took off, it was actually quite funny watching Greg and her, he was acting like she was a puppy playing fetch. Each time she would get the remote he would throw to the other side of them room and off she would go!

I have the BEST hubsand in the world!!

So Greg reads this blog every once in awhile, never post anything or really makes any comments except to tell me that the pictures I posted were cute or something trivial like that. Well the other night his comment was "once again a post about Mackenzie," I think I hurt his feelings because I never post anything about him, so here is a post just about Greg.

I have the best husband in the entire world, he is partner and makes me unbelievably happy. He has made so many sacrifices for me and our family so that I am able to stay at home with Mackenzie. He doesn't have a fancy phone (no data package and has had the same phone for no joke at least 5 years), drives an old truck (2002 with 130,000 miles), doesn't get to buy all the things he would truly like, for instance like a deer stand or feeder or Ranger (one of those gator things) or anything other fun things, no golfing on a weekly basis (but he did say he might have to go once a month after yesterday), takes his lunch to work daily (generally my leftovers, as we rarely go out to eat, another sacrifice), rarely buys new clothes or new anything for that matter and doesn't complain about any of it. He works 10 1/2 hour days or longer and when he gets home helps out more the you can imagine whether it be giving me a break with Mackenzie or doing the dishes after I cook or helping clean the house, and the list could go on and on. We spend most of our weekends either at our house or down in Ganado rarely going anywhere for ourselves. He constantly gives of himself for me and our family and for that I am ever so grateful. I love him more then words can describe and am so happy we found each other. Glad Kayla and Brian decided to get married and my husband decided to go, because he almost didn't, then I don't know what I would have done!! Glad we met after high school, because I can guarantee we would have NEVER dated during...I can never thank him enough for all that he has done and continues to do for our family as well as me. So Greg this post is a Thank You, thank you for being you and loving Mackenzie and I as much as you. Thank you for my daily "good morning" emails and daily drive home talks. Thank you for all the sacrifices you make for Mackenzie and I. We love you more then you can ever imagine and we would be lost without you!

8 Months, OH My!!

Well our little girl was officially 8 months old yesterday. She now has 5, yes that is right FIVE, teeth, three on bottom and two on top! Mackenzie still isn't crawling much but certainly gets to where she wants to go, she is super happy when you are holding her hands and she is walking or when she is outside, whether it be in her swing, or on one of our long strolls (and when I say long I mean long 1 to 1/2 hours but LOVES them). I love her to pieces and can't picture my life without her. She is getting really good at eating big people food, green beans she slurps like noodles and pinto beans watch out because as soon as a finishes the one in her mouth it is open waiting for the next one to hit. We also had our first Pebbles ponytail yesterday although Daddy said that you looked goofy, to me you looked precious, you always do...

ON ANOTHER NOTE:
Yesterday I was reminded that there are NO guarantees, as one of the girls I went to school with at Sam Houston buried her 4 month old. Last night was a restless one for me because it is something that I can't even fathom, not that I want to and I hope that it is something that we never have to experience as I can only imagine how painful it must be. To read more about her story you can go to http://kandjstaats.blogspot.com/. As I read yesterday all I could is cry.

Projects

Well as most of you know we LOVE projects around our house, well at least I do anyway, Greg I know has a different opinion....But here are some of the things we have done lately...

#1 The Laundry Room....I wanted more storage and thought this was the perfect solution, but I must admit it was more work then I thought. I figured we would save money by painting the premade cabinets we bought (mistake number 1, it was a pain and with Mackenzie took a VERY long time). Mistake #2 thinking they would be easy to install, our walls aren't straight...

#2 The Office...Greg's room no longer exsist in our house. That is going to be Mackenzie's big girl room which meant the deer horns had to move, so the office was the perfect solution. Let me just say I am glad I hung everything last time while Greg was overseas. He is NOT much fun to hang things with and complains the entire time!

#3 Bye Bye Recessed Lighting...This is something the husband had wanted to do for quite sometime but I couldn't find a light I liked that matched the fan so I finally gave up and bought this one...The design went with the fan but the color didn't so I got out my trusty spray paint and fixed that....

A closer look.....

#4 Mackenzie Big Girl Room....Before Christmas there was some stuff that I was blamed for and I honestly had nothing to do and I needed a stress reliever. I thought this would be perfect and it was. No she won't be out of her baby bed anytime soon and we aren't expecting another one but I just need something to keep me and my mind busy and since we had everything for the room, it was perfect...So I painted all the walls yellow and the furniture red, put up the mural and so here is a sneak peek, this is the only picture as the other walls aren't done. I still need to paint a shelf for one wall and I am waiting for mom to finish the valance and lampshade I made as they needed some ribbon ruffle trim and she has a gathering foot and well I don't, so they got shipped to Edna, last time she was here...

Super Bowl Sunday.....

What did we do, you ask? Well here is the answer.....
Mackenzie pateintly waiting while we get everything ready....

All ready to go....and she did great until the end. It started getting a bit cool and she did NOT like the wind in her face but it was a nice change for a us....

New Food!!

We have tried I think every baby food out there. Mackenzie is finally getting to where she is interested in feeding herself. She hasn't quite mastered some foods but has crackers and cookies down packed. Actually for supper we have been giving her Baby Mum Mums (A rice cracker that comes is packs of two) and she wipes them out and feeds them to herself, so I decided to try something else today and picked up some different things basically baby cheetos, and she did good with these as well. Daddy would say a royal mess but hey she is only 7 months old so I think she did pretty well but I will let you all be the judge....

Dr. Weiting Here We Come!!!

Well after a month of dealing with an ear infection we left this morning to make sure it was cured and it is, wahoo! We bundle out tight and braved the weather but it was okay, she is up to 18lbs 12 oz (in just her diaper, we had a new nurse so we had to decloth, which normally they only do on well checks not when they go in for other things but that is okay it was nice to know her actual weight) and 27.5 inches long

New Game

Here is a picture of the new game around our house. Mackenzie starts at one end of the blanket and continues to roll until she can roll no more and this is what she looks like, needless to say we don't leave her in the room long by herself!

I Spy......

what someones thinks is a play toy.....do you see it.....

Here is a closer look....

She got the paci stuck on her finger and just carried on like it was normal. She doesn't suck on the paci still, but will does like to play with but no matter how hard we try she still sucks her finger (hopefully, we can break that habit). I have to admit it was quite funny she was chuying on her rings, and playing with her other toys while the paci was stuck on her thumb and of course I get the camera out and what does Mackenzie decide to do, drop everything and look at Mommy and smile, I couldn't help but laugh harder!!

Sleeping Beauty

Mommy was shocked, this little thing slept until 9:15 last week, I can't remember the last time she did that, normally she is up and ready to go at 7, but here she is just a dreaming away......(too bad I can't sleep in)

Sitting Up

Well Mackenzie is definitely growing by leaps and bounds. She sits up now for quite some time like over 30 minutes if she wants to. She has also become a Miss Priss, as now when I get the camera out she looks and smiles, and her little grin just melts my heart. She is the sweetest little thing on earth!
