Happy Birthday Mackenzie Rae!!

Hard to believe that one year ago we were graced with your presence. You have a been a true blessing in our lives, and have made your dad and I both better people. You have grown and learned so much this past year it is truly amazing. Although you are rotten at times and tend to break things (like the two remotes you have throw in the bath water the past two nights, needless to say our cell phones are no longer in her reach, especially since we can't upgrade until February!!) we still love you to moon and back. We hope you enjoyed your special day and can't wait to celebrate with everyone on Saturday!

I will update with pictures when I have more time, but right now we are in party mode!

Paybacks......

I guess my little girl decided to me pay me back yesterday for Daddy being gone. At about 4:30/5 we had a normal meltdown, so we went for a walk on which the little piggie ate 4 1/2 packs of MumMums, that is 9 whole rice crackers. Once we arrived home we went and watered the garden and Mackenzie as usual was one dirty little girl after playing the mud, but all of this is our normal day.

It wasn't until supper that paybacks began, when she sat in her highchair and refused to eat, all she wanted to do was wave bye bye (Note: when you wave she stops, once you stop, she starts). Then we proceed to bath time which was fine and dandy until we got out and dressed, then Mackenzie decided it would be cool to throw her towel, and clothes in the draining water. Honestly I knew this day was coming as during the day we gather quite the collections, books, telephones, blocks, you name it, it ends up in the tub (I guess she thinks it is a toy box? not really sure). So on to bed, she ended up going to sleep for good at 8:15, not too bad, until my 4:15 wake up call, which I figured as she ate no supper.

So lets hope that day 2 night is a bit less eventful!!

Check Your Mail.....

As you should be getting one of these in the mail.....

Hoping you can join us for a little celebration.

Smiles.....

As today is our last night with Daddy. He will be gone until Friday, but don't worry we are taking him out to Fuddruckers when he gets back for lunch :). By the way let me just tell you I hate these last minute trips, hopefully none come up for next weekend......

I told you.....

That this little girl has had a thing with strings lately. The last couple of days after her naps or right when she wakes up, her bumper in her crib is no longer attached and this is what you find.....

And this morning while I was getting dressed what was Mackenzie doing?? THIS......

Pool PARTY!

Our neighbors little boy turned 2, on Friday so they had a pool party to celebrate Saturday. Of course we had to get all dolled up to go and I think she had a pretty good time since she was tired and Mommy and Daddy didn't get in with her (we promise next time we will, but we went to a wedding when we left the party, after a quick stop at home to change of course).

Before the party...

At the party....And let me just say Mackenzie was quite "little Miss Social" crawling up to everyone and putting her arms up for them to hold her, it was actually VERY cute and everyone couldn't help but smile. She also took 4, yes that is right FOUR, whole steps for Sherrie's mom, maybe I need send over there for a couple days and she would come back walking for us!! :)

Who Needs Snacks....

We have mulch. Seriously every time we go outside she heads straight to the flowerbeds to get her mulch. Out back it is a toss up between the flowerbeds and Daddy's potted cucumbers (she leaves all the others pots alone, hehe).

Pigtails.....

They start off looking way too cute, like this.....

But at the end of the day, watch out, they look like this!!

Strings....

Not sure what it is with strings, but lately Mackenzie has been fascinated with them. Whether it is strings on a toy or strings on clothes watch out because someone is going to find them and they will become her toy.

As most of you know Mackenzie LOVES the water and as soon as we start running bath water she in the bathroom and generally stays there until Greg and I are both finished with our baths. A majority of the time she stays right by the tub just looking in well she found something she was more interested in the other night and it was really cute, wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get my clothes back. I kid you not she chewed on them for a good 30 minutes!

Then it was all over, she spotted something she wanted more.....
