I Promise.....

this is not what Mackenzie's room generally looks like.......
but this is what I found when I went to check her on, since she was being extra quiet (like I hadn't heard a peep from her in about 15 minutes)....and it could be alot worse, but she is having fun. My taking pictures didn't seem phase her either as she is still at it. I guess we will see what the room looks like at the end of today. And just check out her smile, can't you tell she is having a ball and so proud of herself!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Well Greg is officially 30 today! I hope he has a great day away from us and hurries back as he left for Louisana this morning for a vessel audit and should be back late Thursday or Friday we hope, and will have to celebrate his big day then. Mackenzie and I gave him his birthday present early, and he has already cooked us some delcious fish! Fourth of July, we went down to the Bay and Uncle Terry cooked some AMAZING blackened fish and as most of you know I am not huge fan of seafood (on a side note Uncle Terry is an amazing cook anyway, everything he cooks turns out pretty darn good, those of you that haven't had his cooking are definitely missing out but this fish was better then most) anyway Greg loved the fish and asked how to cook it, so for his birthday Mackenzie picked out all the supplies needed (basically just cast iron pans, we already had a stand with a butane bottle), and Greg's blackened fish turned out pretty well too!! So Daddy, we hope you enjoyed and can't wait for you to get back. We love you and miss you more each time you are away. Stay safe and hurry home!

My Little Girl....

Isn't quite so little anymore.....Just look at her in these pictures....

Pit Stop

Well these days we always seem to have a pit stop. You see I try not to carry Mackenzie when possible, so when we get home from being out I pull in the garage and get her out of her seat, set her down next to me and off she goes. Where, well generally not into the house, like Mommy would like. We have to make a pit stop to our toys, sometimes this pit stop is quite a long one like an hour and half, depending on how long Mommy will let her go for. I have to give the kid credit, she has a whole three toys outside, and she plays with them like crazy. Maybe next year for we will get them a gator or maybe a playscape (as a joint birthday or Christmas gift) not really sure which one they would get more use out of but she LOVES anything involving being outside....
Here are some pictures from her "Pit Stop"
I think Mackenzie has spent a tad bit too much time watching her Daddy, here she is inspecting her car. She checked all the wheels along with the wagon. I think we will have to invest in one of these for Brother too. She loves this thing!
Who needs a door, but she does know how to use it.
Watch out with this one, she can't quite see what she is doing or where she is going......

Gone Again

Well Greg is gone once again. He left last Wednesday night, and is once again at the platform in the Gulf. It is hard while he is gone, because Mackenzie doesn't understand what is going on and anytime we go somewhere she cries. I dropped her off at Mother's Day Out today and they said she just wasn't her normal happy go lucky self. I think it is a combination of her missing her Daddy and being afraid that I am not going to come back to get her (on top of cutting her last couple of eye teeth!). We try to stay busy while he is gone, go on walks, go on outings and just play so she is tried and goes to bed early (so Mommy can have a break) and it seems to work, she is generally in bed by 7:30 at the latest, and lets just say that sometimes Mommy isn't too far behind as I have been in bed some nights at 8:30! Last week I had a visit with my specialist, and the little guy is already up to 2 lbs. 6 oz., he is in the 57% on his weight so he might turn out to be a chunk, we shall see. The specialist doesn't think he will weigh more then 7 1/2 lbs so we will see, I go back in 6 weeks to see him again and I will find out more like when they will actually decide to induce me and a better estimate of his delievery weight. Tomorrow I have my glucose test, and am hoping that comes back negative, don't really care to do the 3 hour one! I have gained a whole 10 pounds right now, hopefully I don't gain much more only time will tell. I should have a little less then 11 weeks, hard to believe the little guy will be here that soon! Today I actually got some good photos so I figured I would post them. It seems lately I get a close up head shot as she walks toward the camera or her hand grabbing for it, but today she was actually somewhat cooperative.

She did GREAT!!!

Well today Mackenzie started a Mother's Day Out program, that she will go to every Tuesday and Thursday. She did fantastic, no tears, no crying, no looking back, I set her down on the ground and she was off and ready to go. I think it will be a good thing for both her and I. I was able to get what I felt like, was alot accomplished while still taking it somewhat easy as not to over do anything. Not to mention when little mister arrives (no he still doesn't have a name) it will give me some one on one time with him as well.

Her teachers said her first day was great, and couldn't have gone any better. She did fantastic, even with her only 20 minute nap. They said it took her a long time to go sleep and she didn't sleep long but other then that she had a great day. I said that didn't surprise me because when Mackenzie is around any other kids, she generally refuses to take a nap or is very difficult to get to go down and generally doesn't sleep too long, I guess she is just scared she is going to miss something. On a bright note, while she was at school, I was able to complete 3 pair of pants that I have had cut out forever, still have abour 6 pair left to do, we will see if they are long enough for her, if not they might be getting another ruffle added to the bottom!!

Here are some pictures from her first day....

Here are pictures from her meet the teacher on Tuesday...

PS Nana, we might have to bribe you to sew some more tops, we got so many compliments you would not believe!!
