This Week

Last week we went to Emart to do some Christmas shopping, besides arriving a hour before it opened, overall it was a successful trip. It worked out really nice, they have a play area for the kids which cost $5 for an hour and a half. Greg stayed while I went shopping then we switched and he looked at what I had picked up and picked up a bit more. He went and paid and got it all home without the kids knowing or suspecting anything!

Mackenzie is thriving at school. She was Ladybird of the week again! They get smilie faces through out the week for different things and whoever has the most on Friday becomes Ladybird of the week. We met with Ms. Danielle, Mackenzie's teacher, and we couldn't be happier with her behavior and progress at school. I hope when Braxton gets to start school he is as good as a student as his sister.

Braxton and I have still been going out on walks, it is beautiful here with the falling leaves. I think the walks are going to come to an end soon as it is getting chilly and I don't really want Braxton out in the cold weather for too long as it is just asking for him to get sick.

In other news he has become quite good with the iPad and puzzles on it. He honestly is obsessed with it but it is neat to watch him. He it much better at then Mackenzie was at that age, that is for sure!

Mackenzie is determined we are getting a pool when we return to SugarLand; however, while I would love one, don't get me wrong, it just isn't in our budget. So when she tells you that she is getting one please know it is all her imagination as that is all she has been talking to me about the past two days. I am not sure why she is stuck on it, or where it came from but it is quite amusing to listen to her talk about it!

Here are some pictures of the littles from the past week. Little man sure it starting to let his personality show, that is for sure!

Quick Update

So I know I have been falling behind on the blog lately. Truth is we haven't done much!

Last week Braxton and I were able to have lunch with Mackenzie. Let me just say, I love Mackenzie's teacher. She is really good about including the younger siblings in activities when they have them. She even lets Mackenzie make things for Braxton at school. It is really pretty awesome. So anyway, this month they are learning about animals, so we had lunch at our bunny park here in town. Nothing fancy a few bunnies in a cage and a chicken in another, but the kids had a blast. Ms. Danielle also let them blow bubbles, and go fishing with sticks in a little pond. The parents sent stuff to school for the picnic and the kids made their sandwiches as well as the parents. Let's just say Mackenzie was super proud, as soon as she saw me, she ran up and said, "Momma, I made your sandwich and it even has tomatoes!" She had the biggest grin ever, it was really cute! Here are some pictures I was able to take with my phone.

This past weekend we had a team building at the bowling alley. Let me just say I did not get a single picture. Actually quite honestly I feel like a single parent lately. Greg goes to work at 6 and hasn't been getting home until after 6:30. At the bowling alley he had to leave to go get plates and water as they ran out and he was on the team building committee, which meant me alone. It really irritated me especially since he is the only one with two kids and the other one on the committee has a 6 month old but offered his services if I need them, really (I wanted to say you could have run to the store and then I wouldn't need them)? Lets just say it wasn't easy. Mackenzie wore real jeans so she couldn't undone the button to go the bathroom by herself and Braxton kept wanting to play with the ball return machine. Mackenzie was actually bowling but of course needed help to push the ball and Braxton just wanted to wonder around everywhere. By the end of the night I was so frustrated! But the kids did have a good time which is all that matters, right?

Monday M didn't have school so we made cookies, they turned out pretty good. Needless to say we have been busy around here.

Daddy Has SUCKER Written All Over Him.....

Daddy gives in to almost everything. The other day the kids were fighting over Mackenzie's bike, so what does Daddy do, why he goes and gets Braxton's birthday present and puts it together for him. He couldn't wait 3 weeks! Greg's philosophy, he doesn't know when his birthday is anyway! Really?!?! Needless to say Mommy will have to go get little man something else to open for his birthday! Let's just say this isn't the first time that Daddy has given in. He is generally the one who lets them ride the toys and everything else as well. I guess this Mommy is just plain mean!

Meet the Newest Addition....

That is right did you know, we expanded?!?! Well kind of. Mackenzie has decided that her Miss Sherry or Brother or Claire or Annie (sometimes others, depending on her mood) needs to accompany us almost everywhere. When we walk around town I have to hold one hand and she holds the other. I must admit it is pretty darn cute! Here is Mackenzie riding the motorcycle with her and carrying her on her back!
